Class 2 Pap Smear

A class 2 pap smear may require cryosurgery and a urinary infection may also be present. The good news is that most cases are successfully treated if the disease is detected early. Treatment is usually not offensive and not expensive. Women diagnosed with ASCUS should have Papanicolaou tests according to a schedule on their doctor’s advice. Atypical cells found in the cervix are neither normal nor cancerous. Sometimes, inflammation of the cells disappears on its own and does not develop into cervical cancer. Some cases, however, do require treatment since appear precancerous as indicated by repeated Papanicolaou tests. A class 2 pap smear may require cryosurgery and a urinary infection may also be present.
