HPV Ascus

HPV ASCUS in a Pap smear may require cryotherapy. Cancer is unlikely to progress in women who don’t smoke or have other cervical cancer risk factors. Without treatment severely dysplastic cells penetrate deeper layers of the cervix and spread to other organs, causing invasive cervical cancer. It usually takes many years for cancer of the cervix to develop. HPV ASCUS in a Pap smear may require cryotherapy.
